Influences:: Coming from classical music, especially contemporary music including opera. Inspiring performances with Gidon Kremer, Geroge Prêtre, Fritz ter Wey, Anders Eby, Helmut Rilling, King's Singers, Mircea Diaconescu, Wolfgang Seeliger, Nory Jacoby, Michael Wolpe, Steffen Schreyer, Victoria Hanna.

First idea of vocal overtones from contemporary experimental music in 1982. Main influences on overtone singing by Roberto Laneri 1983, later David Hykes and Michael Vetter.

And then - where to start? Every artist I met inspired me. My greatest teachers have always been my students. Stuart Hinds inspired a lot my polyphonic style, Hosoo led me back to the roots in Mongolia, Christian Zehnder and Bruno Amstad with their unique Swiss styles.

Overtone singing in general is just at the start. There is so much to be developed in the next few years.

Schade - ich bin bis 14. juli in Sütirol und Österreich (Seminare und Stimmbildung) und gleich nachher habe ich die Zeit meinem Michael versprochen (wir fahren zu zwet in Natur kempen).
Ich würde Kiva sehr gerne persönlich kennelernen, aber bis Anfang August bin ich absolut nicht frei. Und dann ist wahrscheinlich zu spaet.
Auch würde mich freuen wenn sie Spektrum trifft - das termin ist aber wirklich ungeschickt - ab Montag hat Spektrum Chorferien - und keinen Probelokal mehr! Ich werde es den Leuten von Spektrum überlassen, aber selber kann ich von hier nichts organisieren. Filip hat versprochen Unterkunft zu finden. Ich hoffe, dass Kiva Spektrum doch trifft auf irgendeine serioze Mittarbeit kann ich aber kaum hoffen.
