Thank you Skye for this illustration. I love old books since I studied some of the seven liberal arts. I watched very often some old manuscripts in the library of the uniersity of Heidelberg. These 26 pages presentation is amazing - as well the details of the presentation.

Those old folks around the time of the 'Heidelberg Genesis' were really giants!
Around here in Denmark when we refer to Heidelberg it is vinegar! (see image)
Actually the cover art is from some German University but I couldn't track the source.

I am a homo Harzensius and have seen that I was unable to type university. Heidelberg and vinegar? - OMG - I prefer this reference and specially the Codex Manesse which you can find inside of this library. I love the illustrations of this book.

Wonderful are some illustrations of the Cod. Sal. X 16 by Hildegard von Bingen - Liber Scivias - for example the Miniatur "Annus"
